Welcome back!

On January 5th, 2026, we are excited to welcome back our full-time vet, Dr. Saskia Mailer!
Saskia has spent the past six months on annual leave, exploring Europe and raising money for animals in need. She has been fundraising for her incredible 100 km trek through the Sahara Desert. Saskia took it upon herself to support IAPWA, an organization that provides vital veterinary services to animals in need and works alongside governments to improve welfare standards.

We are so proud of everything she has accomplished—it truly shows her passion for advocating for our furry friends, even while on holiday. She has been greatly missed here at the clinic, and we can’t wait to have her back!

Welcome to the Team!

Theresa is the newest member of our nursing team, and she’s already impressing us with her skills and knowledge!

With four years of nursing experience and having served as a head nurse in her previous role, Theresa brings a wealth of expertise to our team. She has hit the ground running and is making a fantastic impact already.

We’re thrilled to have her here—be sure to say hi to Theresa next time you visit!

Spooky season has come to an end!

🎃 We had the sweetest little trick-or-treater visit us on Halloween! 🎃

Meet Koda, our adorable 1-year-old Border Collie who showed up dressed as the cutest pumpkin we’ve ever seen! With her human siblings in tow, Koda knew she couldn’t miss out on the fun—especially when there were special doggy treats waiting for her at the clinic. And yes, she wowed us with her tricks too!

We absolutely loved having this festive furry friend stop by. Did your pets dress up for Halloween?

🐾 Meet Alfred – our brave little trooper! 🐾

We had the pleasure of helping Alfred out of a very uncomfortable situation. While playing in his backyard, he suddenly yelped and started holding up his right hind paw. His quick-thinking owner rushed him straight to the clinic for help.

Our practice manager (who’s also a nurse!) jumped in to assess him, but couldn’t find the problem at first—so the vet stepped in. Can you guess what we discovered? A stinger stuck between Alfred’s poor toes! Ouch!

Thankfully, we were able to remove it without any sedation. Alfred then got an antihistamine, pain relief, and some soothing cream for his toes. Through it all, he was a 10/10 patient—so brave!

Of course, Alfred made sure to milk his injury for maximum treats afterward (and yes, he got his body weight in goodies!).

Swipe to see Alfred showing us just how “sore” he was while waiting for his well-earned snacks. We’re happy to report he made a full recovery once the treats were gone and was back home snuggled up with his mum!
